Charlie Gibson is not a tough interviewer, we all know that, but Sarah Palin could barely field his questions without repeating her scripted lines.

  1. She did extremely well!!!!!

Most important of all, WE DO NOT WANT A GOVERNMENT WITH PELOSI, REID, OBAMA, AND BIDEN CONTROLLING OUR COUNTRY.

    No thanks to SOCIALISM!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Simple. She shouldn’t. The press should lose that privilege when they abuse it and can’t be objective.

  3. Now that you mention it she did seem a little … rehearsed. I just don’t think she’s particularly charismatic. She hasn’t got the natural ease. Her statements seem wooden. She was also pretty evasive.

It’ll be interesting to see whether things get better or worse for her.

  4. “Do you believe in the Bush doctrine?” Mr. Gibson asked during the interview. Ms. Palin looked like an unprepared student who wanted nothing so much as to escape this encounter with the school principal.

Clueless, she asked, “In what respect, Charlie?”

“Well, what do you interpret it to be?” said Mr. Gibson.

    “His worldview?” asked Ms. Palin.

I feel for Ms. Palin’s son who has been shipped off to the war in Iraq. But at his deployment ceremony, which was on the same day as the Charlie Gibson interview, Sept. 11, she told the audience of soldiers that they would be fighting “the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans.”

Was she deliberately falsifying history, or does she still not know that Iraq and Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with the Sept. 11 attacks?

  5. Sarah did fine. I think she did better with Charlie than Obama did with Bill O’Reilly by far.

She was confident and challenged him, despite being called arrogant on the first question of the interview.

Plus as a VP you have to adopt the stances of the Presidential candidate which don’t always match your own verbatim, so I’m sure she is still on a learning curve.

She didn’t sit with her hands between her knees and her shoulders down and puppy dog eyes trying to parse answers like Obama did with Bill.

  6. Her answers were totally scripted, which is why some made no sense. She just kept repeating things, robot-style.

In other words, she has no analytical skills, just political ambition.

(Just what we need, again . . . . NOT)

  7. they will prolly give her an earpiece!!

    obama/biden ‘08

  8. he may not be tough but he sure isn’t fair. He’s a Barry supporter and it showed. He’s another biased media dweeb.

He had many “got you” type questions, some she rightfully didn’t answer. All politicians have scripted lines - geeze!

  9. Scripted lines? We all have scripted lines in life. How many different ways do you answer “How are you doing?”. I think he was condescending instead of showing any human respect. It was almost as if he thought he was “above” her.

  10. I think what you saw was her shock at how utterly demeaning Charlie was. He hardly ever looked her in the eye. I sooo did not expect Charlie to act like that! I kept waiting for her to snap her fingers and tell him to look at her in the eye, “right here Charlie…look me in the eyes when you ask a question.” Her sincere offer of respect even to a liberal spokesman like Gibson tells me she has very strong restraint.

  11. The most seasoned commentators on ALL channels were confused by Gibson’s “Bush Doctrine” question. Maybe you should run, since you knew exactly what he meant! She was a little tense, maybe, because she had just sent her son to Iraq.

Why have you so completely rejected the free education this country has offered to you??

Don’t forget to vote on Nov 5th!

She was horrible in that interview. Even the unbiased news outlets think so. She hemmed and hawed and just repeated herself getting louder each time. I didn’t think she really answered straight forward to any of the questions. What scares me the most is we have this war in Iraq and an impending war with Afghanistan and now Palin thinks we should go to war with Russia. Who is going to fight all these wars? Our military simply isn’t THAT big. She’s an idiot. McCain is an idiot and if they win, I’m building a bunker and not coming back out until election time in 2012.

  13. Well first of all meet the press has not been the same since Tim Russert passed. RIP

Second, she will continue to rehearse more questions and answers with the campaign and rattle off the answers that she remembers and bs the ones that she doesn’t (refer to “Bush doctrine” question in gibson interview).

Third, I’m just praying that the vice presidential debate comes along sooner than later. Biden and Palin, u gotta be kidding me. This is gonna be the most hillarious stint since The chapelle show. I predict many SNL skits afterwards.
