Rain here, your Guide to DIY Fashion at About.com. I was wondering the same thing earlier this month, so I came up with a photo tutorial on how to make a killer Sarah Palin costume.
I am so surprised how popular this conservative outfit is this year. I did, however, add a bit about dressing up as the bikini-clad Sarah Palin. I also included a how-to on doing your hair like Palin, what kind of glasses to get, and how to accessories and wear a suit like Sarah Palin.

Where a suit, pants or dress. Brown wig and glasses and bright red lipstick it would be funny if you could carry a hockey stick or a stuffed animal that resembles a pit bull. Good Luck.
It shouldn’t be too hard to find a wig(if you need one) and a red dress. Authenticity, however, is going to cost you.
Just wear a suit and whatever kind of shoes she wears (Ihaven’t noticed her feet, but I imagine she wears spike heels), fix your hair her way, and wear those big glasses. And when someone asks, “Are you supposed to be Sarah Palin?” say, “You betcha!” Maybe to make it clearer, you could wear a Miss Alaska sash
a form fitting suit, or a white button up shirt, with a pencil skirt,some heels, put ur hair either half up, half down, with bangs kinda to the side,and for sure u need the glasses.a fake shotgun would help too.
